The DG400 from August was designed as part of a commission for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, they wanted a premium portable TV with Sat-Nav to present to VIP guests enabling them to watch and record the games and to help them navigate around Canada. What August came up with is truly ahead of its time.
Stylish and versatile, it has 2GB of internal memory that can be used to record programming through the Freeview tuner, an in-built FM transmitter to broadcast sound to any nearby radios e.g. car stereos; Music, Photos and Videos can all be played directly from memory cards and a high capacity battery can keep the GPS running for up to 6 hours.
The built in loudspeaker means several viewers can enjoy a TV show at the same time, whilst dual headphone sockets are great for sharing.
Presented in a full-colour presentation case, the DG400 is supplied with a comprehensive range of accessories including USB cable, 2 sets of earphones, GPS bracket, protection pouch, touch screen pen, a 110-240V charger ensuring you can use the DG400 at home or abroad and a 12-24V car adaptor for in car and HGV use and maps for the UK and Ireland.
August portable TVs have been reviewed by and won a number of awards from various leading magazines including What HiFi, Which ?, Active Home and etc, plus voted a Top 3 Small Screen TV by Channel 4.
